Speed Prop Assignment, Day 1

During this assignment we were given a day to create a game-ready model, following a theme for each day - starting with "Crates" for day 1.
I chose to recreate the Half-Life 2 ammo crate, with my own spin on it to make it more interesting to look at than a big rectangular box with overly sharp corners.
I started by creating a High Poly mesh that was then baked onto the final Low Poly one, and added materials in Substance Painter - and finally recreated high resolution stencil images for the RPG symbol, seen on the sides of the crate.
